The Everything DiSC® assessment reveals a person’s behavioral style by placing a dot on the DiSC map (see image above).  The location of the dot indicates your core DiSC style—but there’s more to the story.

Beyond the dot, map shading provides deeper insight into where you naturally focus your energy.  Surrounding the DiSC map are eight priority areas—these represent the behavioral tendencies most likely to influence your management approach.

The closer your shading is to a priority, the more likely you are to emphasize that behavior in your role.  Most people have three primary priorities, though some may have four or five.  Having more or fewer priorities isn’t better or worse—it simply reflects your unique style.

For example, the map above shows a manager with a D/i style and an additional priority of Objectivity.  While Objectivity is uncommon for this style, it adds a layer of personalization that helps managers better understand how they lead and communicate.

These insights are especially valuable when managers consider how they interact with direct reports and senior leaders.  By understanding their natural tendencies, they can make intentional choices—either leaning into their strengths or stretching toward other behaviors to meet the demands of the situation.
